Samsung, the South Korean electronics giant, has introduced a new display giant for the digital signage sector. Samsung designed the 4K Signage QE98C, also known as LH98QECELGCXXS, for use in restaurants, hotels, and retail stores. Additionally, it features a 97.5-inch LCD panel with 4K resolution (3840 x 2160 pixels) and an edge LED-based backlight.
Key features of this 4K digital signage product include a 5000:1 contrast ratio and an 8 ms response time. Additionally, it offers a typical brightness of 450 cd/m², an 8-bit color depth, and 93 percent DCI-P3. The 8 GB of permanent memory supports the operating system, Tizen 6.5, with 3 GB available for use. Moreover, it is powered by a 4K Quantum processor and 2.5 GB LPDDR4-1600 RAM.
The Samsung Signage 98-inch device operates independently thanks to its onboard operating system and SoC, eliminating the need for an external device. However, it can still stream content from other sources through Miracast. It offers a selection of interfaces, including Bluetooth 5.2, HDMI, RJ-45, RS232C, USB 2.0, and Wi-Fi 5. Additionally, it comes with software called MagicInfo Player S10 Lite, which allows for centralized management of all signage devices and content distribution over the network.
The Signage QE98C also features a 2.2 sound system with 40 watts, a temperature sensor, automatic signal input selection, a VESA mount (600 x 400 mm), and a stand. It has a design for 16/7 operation, a typical power consumption of 197 watts, and weighs 65.8 kg.
