After weeks of rumors, Vivo has officially unveiled the two new high-end smartphones: Vivo X20 and X20 Plus. Both devices are virtually identical in terms of design, differ in display sizes and some of the hardware components.
The X20 features a 6.01-inch FHD+ (2160 x 1080 pixels) 18:9 Super AMOLED 2.5D curved glass display that occupies 85.3 percent of the front panel and 86.11 percent screen-to-body ratio. The handset is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SoC clocked at paired with Adreno 512 GPU. It packs 4GB of RAM and 64GB / 128GB of internal storage with microSD card slot up to 256GB. The device runs Android 7.1.1 Nougat based on FunTouch OS 3.0 and packs a 3245mAh battery.
Vivo X20 Plus, on the other hand, features a larger 6.43-inch display with FHD+ (2160×1080 pixels) resolution and the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SoC, 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, expandable via micro SD up to 256GB, but it packs a larger 3905mAh battery.
The same as in the camera department. Both devices feature a dual 12MP rear camera with f/1.8 aperture, OIS, and secondary 5MP camera with LED flash. For selfie, there is a 12MP front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture and soft LED flash.
Both smartphones come with a Hi-Fi Audio DAC that improves sound quality. Vivo X20 mounts an AK4376A, while the Vivo X20 Plus has ES9318 chip. Lastly, both supports Dual SIM, Bluetooth 5.0, Wi-Fi dual band and 4G VoLTE connectivity.
Vivo X20 and Vivo X20 Plus Pricing and Availability
The Vivo X20 price in China is CNY 2998 – approximately $445 for the 64GB version and CNY 3398 – approximately $515 for the special edition 128GB version; while the Vivo X20 Plus price in China is CNY 3498 – approximately $530 and both comes come in Gold, Rose Gold, and Matte Black colors. Both will be available from September 22 and goes on sale in China from September 30th, 2017.
