Videocon Cube 3 with Reliance Jio and Panic Button Launched in India

Videocon Mobiles on Wednesday unveiled a new VoLTE-enabled smartphone dubbed as Cube 3 in India. The new Videocon Cube 3 will be available at Rs. 8,490, and will be available via offline outlets starting mid-September.

New Videocon Mobiles will be available with Reliance Jio’s Preview Offer with a validity of 90 days, the company added. The Videocon Telecom also mentions about that ‘Panic Button’ feature on the Cube 3, after government recently mandated all mobile phones sold in India from January 1, 2017 should feature panic button.

The handset also features SOS-Be Safe emergency response app that has Alert, Walk with ME and reach on time features. The power button of the phone acts as an SOS button that can be customized to send alerts with the GPS location to registered numbers of family members or friends. Walk with ME sends location of a user at regular intervals to emergency contacts and Reach On Time sends an alert if a user hasn’t reached a particular destination at the set time.

Coming to specifications, the Videocon Cube 3 features a 5.0-inch IPS LCD display with HD (720 x 1280 pixels) resolution and 2.5D curved glass layer on top. The device is also protected by Dragon Trail glass. It is powered by a 1.3 GHz quad-core processor which supported by 64-bit MediaTek MT6735 chipset clubbed with Mali-T720 GPU. It packs in 3GB of RAM, 16GB of inbuilt storage which can be expanded via microSD card up to 32GB.

On the camera front, the Cube 3 flaunts a 13-megapixel primary autofocus camera with dual-tone LED flash and there is a 5-megapixel front-facing camera with wide-angle lens to capture a good self portraits and quality video calling. The handset runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow and 3000mAh battery out of the box.

It supports dual SIM slot with dual standby, For connectivity includes 4G VoLTE, 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS, A-GPS, Bluetooth 4.0, microUSB 2.0, 3.5 mm audio jack, and FM radio options.
