Samsung has finally started the distribution of Android 8.0 Oreo for its duo Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge smartphones, the two former top flagship range of 2016. After weeks leading rumors that delay the rollout at the beginning of May.
The OTA update kicked off from the UK with build numbers G930FXXU2ERD5 and G935FXXU2ERD5 for S7 and S7 Edge respectively
In addition to allowing the update to the latest version of the Android operating system, Samsung also offers the Google security patches updated in the month of April, the new Samsung Experience 9.0 interface and few other small news from the software point of view.
The update has a weight of about 1.27GB; those who want to proceed with the manual installation of the UK ROM through Odin, at the moment, can download from the Samsung website only the for Galaxy S7 Edge model. We will return to updating the article as soon as the one available for S7 too.
