Obi SF1 with 5.0-inch Display, 13MP Camera and Octa-core SoC Launched in India

The Obi Worldphone SF1 and Obi Worldphone SJ1.5 were announced in San Francisco back in August. Today, the Obi SF1 Phone has gone on sale in India exclusively on Gadgets 360. The handset is available in two variants and has been priced at Rs. 11,999 for 2GB RAM and 16GB ROM; and Rs. 13,998 for 3GB RAM and 32GB ROM.

Obi Worldphone, a little unknown Mobile company which is co-founded by John Sculley, who previously served as the former head of two major corporations such as Apple and Pepsi-Cola.

The Obi World Phone SF1 features a 5.0-inch JDI In-cell floating glass display, Full-HD 1920×1080 pixels resolution with a pixel density of 443ppi and that also protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 4 alongside oleophobic coating on top of it. It is powered by a 1.5 GHz octa-core processor that backed by a 64-bit Snapdragon 615 SoC along with Adreno 405 GPU.

As mentioned above, it comes equipped with a 2GB/3GB RAM and 16GB/32GB of internal memory which can also be expanded up to 64GB via microSD card. The Obi SF1 bears a 13-megapixel primary rear camera with Sony IMX214 sensor, hybrid autofocus, f/2.0 aperture and LED flash. While front has a 5-megapixel selfie snapper to capture wide self portraits and decent video calling.

The handset runs on Android 5.0.2 Lollipop OS out of the box with Obi’s Lifespeed UI on top of it. It packs a 3000mAh battery with Quick Charge 1.0 that can rated to deliver up to 20 days standby time and up to 28 hours of talk-time according to the company. It supports Dual SIM 4G LTE functionality alongside 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Dual-Band, Wi-Fi Direct, A-GPS, GLONASS, Bluetooth 4.0 and MicroUSB 2.0 connectivity options.
