Nikon has just introduced the Nikkor Z 14-30mm F4 S lens, the first ultra-wide zoom lens for their two Mirrorless Full-frame cameras, Z6 and Z7.
This latest lens is a suitable focal length for landscape, travel, event and architecture photographers, with quality and versatility on the Z mount. This is also a very suitable lens for filmmakers, requiring a wider viewpoint with the detailed quality obtained of course to be extremely good.
This new ultra-wide zoom lens has a very simple and lightweight design (weighs only 485), supporting screw filters (82mm), a rarity for this type of lens. This lens has 14 lenses, has Nikon’s Nano Crystal coating to help prevent ghosting and glare, Flo coating helps clean water droplets and fingerprints from the front lens more easily. The lens uses STM (stepper motor) for more sensitive and quiet autofocus.
Also, as with all Nikon Z-mount lenses, 14-30mm F4 is dust and moisture resistant. There is also a control ring for manual focus, exposure compensation or aperture control.
Nikon lenses almost never disappointed users in terms of quality, and wait to see what special features this lens Nikon wants to give us.
The Nikkor Z 14-30mm F4 S price in USA has been set at $1,296.95, it can be pre-ordered via Bhphotovideo.com and will be available this Spring.
