The next entry-level smartphone from LG could be called K9s, at least according to the trademark filed yesterday by the South Korean company at the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO).
The name falls within the Class 9 – the one that refers to smartphones – and for the first time includes the letter “S”, never used by the manufacturer in the nomenclature of its mobile devices.
In all probability it will be a budget handset, heir to the LG K9 was introduced as LG K8 2018 at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona at the beginning of the year. This is a budget smartphone, comes with a 5-inch HD IPS display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 SOC, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, 5MP front camera, 8MP rear and 2500mAh battery.
We presumed that the unpublished LG K9s will be introduced at MWC 2019 scheduled in Barcelona from 25 to 28 February.
