After the Kodak IM5, one of the pioneering camera companies, now teased another Android powered smartphone called Kodak Ektra has been announced today. This new Kodak smartphone will be available first in Europe this December and followed by a global launch in early 2017 at a price tag of EUR 450 – approximately $493 USD. 
The Kodak Ektra ‘s highlight is its 21-megapixel primary autofocus camera sensor from Sony with an f/2.0 aperture, Optical Image Stabilization (OIS), Phase Detection Autofocus (PDAF), and dual-tone LED flash. The rear camera is also able to record 4K video. There is a 13-megapixel front-facing camera with HDR to capture high-quality selfies. User can soot 4K video and also edit it with built-in filters such as grains, vignettes and more Super 8 filters to make it more lively.
Coming to the camera features, new Kodak Camera phone comes with a digital ‘Scene Selection Dial’ for quick photography. Along with a lot of shooting modes can be accessed through this dial, such as Smart Auto, Landscape, Night, Panorama, Manual, Sports, Portrait, Bokeh, HDR, and Macro. The Kodak Ektra also comes with a range of pre-installed camera applications such as Snapseed, Adobe Lightroom, VSCO, as well as Prisma. 
New Kodak Phones features a 5-inch IPS LCD display with Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) resolution that can translate a high pixel density of 441ppi, along with the screen and lens also protected by the Corning Gorilla Glass layer. The handset is powered by a deca-core MediaTek Helio X20 processor coupled with 3GB of RAM.
The Kodak Cell Phone is equipped with 32GB of inbuilt storage, which can be expanded via a microSD card. It packs in 3000mAh battery under the hood and runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS. The firm has not given any word on Android 7.0 Nougat update in the future. Notably, Kodak has collaborated with British firm Bullit that made most of the components of the smartphone. Bullit is best known for making rugged CAT-branded smartphones.
