After launching the Huawei Y3 2017 and Y5 2017, now the company launched its new smartphone in the Y series called – Y6 2017. While other companies seem to be improving specifications on a yearly basis, Huawei’s new smartphone appears to show no substantial improvement from last year’s model. The Huawei Y6 2017 price and availability has not been announced yet.
Huawei Y6 2017 Specifications
Huawei Y6 2017 features a 5-inch IPS LCD display with HD (720 x 1280 pixels) and it is powered by a 1.4GHz quad-core processor that’s backed by the MeidaTek MT6737T SoC paired with 2GB of RAM. The dual-SIM Huawei smartphone runs EMUI 4.1 Mini – not the company’s latest EMUI 5.0 – based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
On the camera front, the Y6 2017 comes with a 13-megapixel primary rear camera with dual LED flash; and there is a 5-megapixel camera at front with LED flash to capture bright selfies. The Huawei Y6 2017 comes with 16GB of built-in storage, which is expandable via microSD card.
In terms of connectivity, the phone offers options including 4G connectivity, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, and GPS, A-GPS, Glonass, USB 2.0 and 3.5 mm audio jack. The handset houses a 3000mAh battery and it measures 143.8 x 72 x 8.45 mm and weighs 150 grams. The sensors on the Y6 2017 include a proximity sensor, an ambient light sensor, Compass and an accelerometer.
Last week, the company also announced the Huawei Y7 smartphone with a simple design and good technical specifications, it packs in a massive 4000mAh battery; powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 processor; 5.5-inch HD display and runs EMUI 5.1 based on Android 7.0 Nougat.
