Just less than two weeks after the HTC U11 Android Oreo update for Taiwanese market, Android 8.0 Oreo for HTC U11 is now coming to the United States as well, as confirmed by a Mo Versi via Tweet on the social network.
HTC USA vice president and product manager has announced that starting today (November 27th) will start deploying the HTC U11 Android Oreo upgrade for the unlocked version.
Responding to various users on Twitter, Versi has also confirmed that the update will be completed in a short time even for locked units via the Sprint operator. The update should reach the European market by the end of the year.

HTC U11 is a high-end smartphone that was launched with Android 7.1 Nougat back in May this year. The HTC U11’s Android Oreo update will include HTC’s Sense UI, rotary menu, squircle icons, notification dots and system improvements.
HTC U11 will be available in the USA and UK market in Amazing Silver, Sapphire Blue, Brilliant Black, Ice White and Red Solar colors at a price of $649.99 / £499.99. As regards the technical specifications, the smartphone is equipped with a 5.5″ QHD display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor, 4GB of RAM, 64GB of internal storage and runs Android Nougat 7.1 operating system.
