Hollyland Technology is quite active in launching state-of-the-art broadcasting devices for video filming in the market. The main secret of the success of its devices is the low price with advanced features. The emergence of MARS 300, the first semi-professional video transmitter/receiver, has led to the release of a whole series of similar devices with various functionalities. The Hollyland MARS 300 PRO model announced and is an updated version of a rather successful and popular predecessor.
Wireless Video Transmitter / Receiver
MARS 300 PRO provides transmission of both video and audio over a distance of up to 90 meters with direct visible contact with a delay of about 0.08 seconds. The device has eight channels that can be switched to avoid interference and ensure stable wireless transmission.
Monitoring the work of new items is now available in real-time using the HollyView Monitoring application, which can be found in Google Play and the iOS App Store. The transmitter can also be used alone, allowing the system to connect up to three of these devices.
MARS 300 PRO introduces the Thumbwheel 3-in-1 menu and an OLED screen with easy access to information about the device charge, channel scan results, video input, channel number, etc.
Previously, the main disadvantage of active cooling (fan) was the noise, which sometimes could interfere with work. The solution offered in this device is the ability to adjust the fan speed to reduce the fan noise: standard speed for the fan to work in its normal mode and low speed for quiet mode.
Price and availability
Hollyland MARS 300 PRO will be delivered in two versions: Standard and Enhanced. Both come with receivers and built-in antennas. The transmitter also has built-in antennas in the Standard version, while the Enhanced uses external antennas.
As for their prices, the prices for Hollyland products are quite democratic (especially considering the analogs of other manufacturers): The Standard version will retail for $449, and the Enhanced version costs $469 and both are now available to pre-order through the Bhphptovideo.com online store.
Earlier this year, Hollyland has introduced the Cosmo M7 Wireless RX Monitor with a 7-inch display, that comes with various options, and has a compact design to fit on top of a camera. And Mars X 1080p HDMI Wireless Video Transmitter for film production and broadcasting.
