Hollyland launches Mars X 1080p HDMI Wireless Video Transmitter

Hollyland – a well-known manufacturer of wireless data, video, audio transmission solution, and products for film production and broadcasting, has announced its new product named Hollyland Mars X 1080p HDMI Wireless Video Transmitter.

Hollyland Mars X

The new Hollyland Mars X is very different from the traditional video transmitter system: it is a set consisting of a transmitter and a receiver connected to a single wireless video transmitter system. You can connect a smartphone or tablet to the system that will act as an external monitor (using the HollyView application).

Mars X is a series of wireless video senders that the company is promoting, including as a device for bloggers at a relatively low cost. This device has received a new modular design, compact size, and weight of only 112 grams. It is equipped with folding antennas, as well as an HDMI connector that provides video transmission in maximum FHD 1080p resolution.

As stated above, Hollyland Mars X may allow the use of smartphones/tablets as external directorial monitors. In addition, the Mars X video transmitter supports connecting up to three devices based on iOS and Android simultaneously. To help locate interference, the app also features a channel scan function for detecting interference and then selecting the best of the eight transmission channels possible.

The Mars X can transmit a signal up to 90 meters away at a “clean” distance, but the recommended distance is 45 meters since the minimum signal delay (less than 0.07 s) is assumed at that distance. Mars X has eight frequency channels, which will avoid any interference and ensure stable wireless transmission.

In addition, Mars X is equipped with an OLED screen that displays information about battery status, frequency channel, video format, and current Wi-Fi password. As stated earlier, Mars X is equipped with folding antennas. This makes the device more productive and mobile.

It has a built-in lithium battery with 1300mAh capacity, which implies juice of up to 1.5 hours with continuous use. And the available Type-C input (5V-12V) allows you to charge and power the device.

Price and availability

Hollyland Mars X 1080p HDMI Wireless Video Transmitter has been already available to buy via the Amazon.com and Bhphotovideo.com stores for $179.

Last month, Hollyland has introduced the Cosmo M7 Wireless RX Monitor – a 7-inch wireless monitoring system with various options and has a compact design to fit on top of a camera, priced at $2,999 and can be purchased via the BHphoto store.
