Asus ZenWatch 2 available in October, Priced at $170, IFA 2015

After a 3 months of the debut, today Asus has officially announced the price and selling date of their most appreciated smart watch called Asus ZenWatch 2.

Accordingly, Asus will sell ZenWatch 2 for $170, available in two different screen sizes 1.6-inch (320x320p), 49mm for $170 -and a 1.45-inch screen (280x280p), 45mm version for $190. Reportedly, this is the price that Asus set for the European market, they do not mention the ZenWatch 2 price for other countries, but there seems to be not much difference in the price segment.

Asus ZenWatch 2 will have a total of three different colors such as Silver, Gray and Rose gold. There are also a lot of options available for the strap, the larger (1.6-inch) will be compatible with 22mm strap, while the smaller (1.45-inch) will be matched with 18mm strap. Asus also offers their customers to create their own very distinctive clock face, as well as also providing them a tool to create various Asus Zen Watch Faces.

Let’s recall some notable Asus Zen Watch 2 specification, as previous news, the device will run Android Wear OS, it has a stainless steel housing and also available in around 18 different color combinations and materials.

It uses a new magnetic charger with the N-type connector, according to the manufacturer, this technology will significantly increase the number of charging sessions. The device uses covered AMOLED display, with a protective Gorilla Glass 3 and IP67 certified. In Additional, Asus claims that they are also developing a number of Asus Zen Watch Apps, such as Asus Remote Camera and Watch Face Land.

The Asus ZenWatch 2 will be available worldwide in the next October 2015.
