Chinese company Huawei in the news at the international consumer electronics IFA 2015 for its new products. The manufacturer introduced the latest smartphone – Huawei Mate S with Force Touch display.
The latest Huawei Mate S smart phone features a 5.5-inch bezelless display with Full-HD resolution of 1920×1080 pixels, covered with a 2.5D-glass – Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection. A unique feature of the device is that the Force Touch display.
This Force Touch display, which can distinguish between a light tap and deep press, enabling access to more functions just by pressing harder. If you forcibly touch on the display, you can get a big increase in the photos compared to the regular touch, it is more convenient to look for the desired picture in the gallery.
The device has a slightly curved full metal diamond cut uni-body with just 2.65mm at its thinnest point and 7.2mm at its thickest point. It measures 149.8 x 75.3 x 7.2 mm and weighs 156gram.
There is another new technology called Knuckle Sense 2.0. It allows you to quickly launch apps by pressing harder on different edges of the display. It also allows you to use your knuckles on the display to pull off different actions, from cropping images to launching apps with a knuckle-scribbled letter shortcut.
Huawei Mate S is not only leading in new technology, but also very powerful device when it comes with a 2.2 GHz Octa-core HiSilicon Kirin 935 processor with 3GB of RAM and will be available in two storage options such as 32 or 64GB of internal memory.
For camera features, it supports a 13-megapixel primary camera with dual LED-flash, F/2.0 wide aperture, optical stabilization and also protected by Sapphire glass. While there is an 8-megapixel front snapper with LED flash to capture bright and clear selfie. There is also a fingerprint scanner, which Huawei called Fingerprint Sense 2.0. It promises a better recognition and control for various operations such as answer a call or capture selfies and scroll images.
The Huawei Mate S smartphone is packed with a 2700mAh battery with a fast charging technology, according to Huawei user can get up to 2 hours Talk time in just a 10 minutes of Charging. It is available in White, Gold, Pink and Gray color variants. It runs Android 5.1.1 Lollipop with Emotion UI 3.1 interface.
The Huawei Mate S price will be around €649 for 32GB for version and €699 for 64GB. (approximately $729 and $785 respectively) Pre-orders for the new product can be opened from the 15th September. A version with the Force Touch display and 128GB storage will be available on a limited number of markets and its prices has yet to reveal by the company.
