Archos Diamond Alpha, Diamond Range, 55s Sense, and 50x Sense Announced

Archos has just announced four new smartphones, with these expanding its Diamond and Sense smartphone lineup – Archos Diamond Alpha, Archos Diamond Range, Archos 55s Sense, and Archos 50x Sense.

Two new smartphones under Diamond series comes with the similar design as we have seen in the Nubia series devices recently. Both devices are defined by the company as a top in class and offering the most innovative hardware features as well as pricing will fall in the mid-range segment. And new Archos Sense lineup, however, it presents two different smartphones: A rugged and one with bazel-less design quite similar to Xiaomi’s Mi Mix.

Archos Diamond Alpha

Archos Diamond Alpha (image above) is one of the high-end devices among all which features all metal uni-body, a 5.2-inch display with FHD resolution and Gorilla Glass 3 protection. It is powered by Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 SoC, 4GB of RAM and 64GB of expandable storage.

For optics, it bears a 13-megapixels dual camera sensor (one Monochrome, another is RGB) and there is a 16-megapixel front-facing camera to capture high-quality selfies. Archos Diamond Alpha price is EUR 399 and it will be available in July this year.

Archos Diamond Range

All metal thin body (less than 8mm), Archos Diamond Range features a 5.5 IPS LCD display with HD resolution and 2.5D curved glass on top of it. It is powered by Octa-Core Qualcomm processor, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage with expandable MicroSD card slot up to 128GB. It bears a 13-megapixel rear camera from Samsung and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. The device running Android 7.1.1 Nougat and packs a 3000mAh battery. Archos Diamond Range price is EUR 199 and it will be available in July this year.

Archos 55s Sense

Archos 55s Sense is the new model of the Sense lineup comes with a border-less design (78% front surface occupied). It features a 5.5-inch IPS LCD display with FHD resolution, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, and 8-megapixels dual rear camera sensors with dual-tone LED flash.

There is a rear fingerprint sensor, a 3000mAh battery, and Android 7.0 Nougat operating system. Archos 55s Sense price is EUR 199 and it will be available in July.

Archos 50x Sense

Finally, the Archos 50x Sense is a rugged smartphone from the company which makes it compliant with IP68 standards (up to 30 minutes under water at a depth of one meter), resistant to scratches and dust. The smartphone, which supports temperatures from -20°C to + 55°C, has a 5.0-inch display with FHD resolution and protected by Gorilla Glass 4.

The handset is powered by a 1.5 GHz quad-core Mediatek MT6737 processor, 3GB of RAM and 32GB of native storage with a micro sd card slot to add more storage space up to 128GB. The device running Android 7.0 Nougat OS and packs a 3500mAh battery. Archos 50x Sense price is EUR 269 and it will be available in July.
