Yu Yutopia with 5.2-inch 2K Display, 4GB RAM and Fingerprint Sensor Launched in India

Yu Televentures, Today officially launched their most anticipated smartphone named Yu Yutopia in India, which was teased as World’s Most Powerful Phone on the Earth by Yu. The handset will be sold online exclusively via Amazon has been priced at Rs 24,999 and pre-booking start from today at 2.00 PM; and shipping from December 26. The device is available only in Grey color variant.

The Yu Yutopia Yu5050 features a 5.2-inch OGS display from Sharp, with a WQHD 2K resolution of 1440×2560 pixels that can rated to deliver very high pixel density of 565ppi along with a Corning Concore Protection. It is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 SoC (2GHz Cortex-A57 quad-core coupled with 1.5GHz Cortex-A53 quad-core) processor along with Adreno 430 GPU. The handset packs a very high 4GB of LPDDR4 RAM and also comes with 32GB of internal storage which is expandable up to 128GB with the help of microSD card.

On the camera front, the handset bears a 21-megapixel primary camera on the back with Sony Exmor RS IMX230 sensor, 5P lens, OIS, PDAF and true-tone dual LED flash. It can shoot 4K videos. On the front, it has an 8-megapixel camera with f/2.2 aperture to capture wide-angle group selfies and quality video chatting.

The handset also features a fingerprint sensor on the back panel below the camera, to capture quick selfies and unlock the device faster. Along with that there is a support for Sonic Boom Technology and also bundled a Little Bird earphones in the box.

The Yu Yutopia Phone runs Cyanogen OS 12.1-based on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop OS and new pre-loaded app called AroundYu which aimed to help users finding what they are looking for, such as food, hotel, flights, trains and cab booking, as well as shopping. Additionally, it also comes preloaded with Gaana app with a free subscription of 6 months.

On the connectivity front, Dual SIM smartphone include 4G LTE, 3G, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (1×1 stream), GPS, A-GPS, Bluetooth 4.1 and MicroUSB 2.0 options. The Yutopia mobile comes with a 3000mAh battery that can deliver up to 8 hours of talk time and up to 300 hours of standby time. Also supports Quick Charge 2.0 tech. that charge the battery to 60% in 30 minutes.
