VOX launches Starstream Active Electric Bass Guitar at NAMM 2020

With the visually striking VOX Artist Starstream Active Electric Bass guitars, Vox has already caused a sensation worldwide. Now the VOX Starstream series is complemented by six significantly affordable passive models at NAMM 2020 alongside the Cambridge 50 Modeling Guitar Amp that still offer the same exciting design as their bigger siblings!

The VOX Starstream Electric Bass guitar weighs just 3kg and is surprisingly light and lies perfectly on the body thanks to its excellent balance, which gives the Active Electric Bass a decisive ergonomic advantage. Thanks to its innovative frame construction in combination with the 30″ short scale, this bass will be an absolute eye-catcher on every stage.

Its 770mm-scale maple neck is fitted with a 21-fret ebony fingerboard. At the headstock, you’ll find Gotoh machineheads, and strings are affixed to the body by means of a Gotoh 201-B4 CR fixed bridge.

For electronics, the VOX 1H is outfitted with a single Aguilar AG-4M humbucker pickup in the bridge. On the other hand, VOX 2S packs with two Aguilar AG 4J-70 Jazz pickups. The humbucker pickup offers a balanced tone on every string and provides articulation across the frequency spectrum so that your bass, midrange, and treble notes will all be clearly defined. While the two Jazz pickups give you the distinct midrange boost popularized by 1970’s jazz basses. Thanks to the OBP-2 active preamp, the tone can be tweaked in both the bass and high-midrange.
