Vernee Apollo 3D Rendering Video, Powered by Helio X25 SoC

Vernee’s alleged Apollo phablet believed to feature all metal uni-body and massive screen size has been spotted in its first 3D rendering video, showing the handset’s design in full glory. The Vernee Apollo 3D Rendering video is claimed to be of the unannounced Apollo smartphone, shows the handset to sport a similar design language to the HTC’s flagship, the HTC 10. The Apollo is seen featuring a virtual buttons to integrate into the screen. Apart from the front panel, the rear panel has circle camera setup with dual tone LED flash and rounded fingerprint sensor below the camera cluster. Unlike the previous news Apollo was sports a MediaTek Helio X20 (MT6797) deca-core Chipset, latest news is said to Vernee Apollo will feature a Helio X25 chipset is likely to be an upgraded version of the Helio X20 deca-core processor. Another rumoured specification of the Apollo says that the handset comes with a 5.5-inch IPS LCD display along with 2K resolution, runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS, 6GB of RAM; 128GB internal memory, a 21-megapixels SONY IMX230 Sensor on the back; 8-megapixels front-facing camera and dual SIM 4G LTE connectivity.

Details about the handset are limited as of now, however, with what’s been revealed, the Vernee Apollo Phone looks similar to Meizu Pro 6. We will however have to wait for the company’s confirmation of the handset.

MediaTek announced the Helio X20 chipset last year and claimed it to be the ‘world’s first mobile processor with tri-cluster CPU architecture’ with deca-core. The tri-cluster CPU architecture consists of three processor clusters, with the company claiming that each is designed to more efficiently handle different types of workloads. The MediaTek Helio X20 packs one cluster of dual ARM Cortex-A72 cores, and two clusters of quad ARM Cortex-A53 cores.
