In January this year, LG refreshed its K-series with a new range of smartphones including LG K3 2017, LG K4 2017, LG K8 2017, and LG K10 2017, in which the budget friendly K8 2017 international variant is now available for purchase via Amazon.com where the LG K8 2017 price in USA is set to $189 and available in Blue color only.
LG said that the 2017 K-series mid-range smartphones sport features such as a 120-degree wide-angle front camera lens and rear fingerprint scanner. The LG K8 2017 phone has been listed in its dual-SIM variant in the country, and the listing is touting support for AT&T, T-Mobile & other GSM carriers apart from panic button support for the 112 national emergency number. It sports a fingerprint sensor on the rear panel.
The LG K8 2017 features a 5.0-inch IPS LCD display with HD (720×1280 pixels) resolution that can translate a pixel density of 293ppi and the screen is also protected by the Corning Gorilla Glass 3. The handset is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor that’s fueled by a 64-bit MediaTek MT6737 chipset coupled with 1.5GB of RAM.
On the camera front, the K8 2017 flaunts a 13-megapixel rear autofocus camera with f/2.2 aperture, 1/3″ sensor size, 1.12 µm pixel size and LED flash. There is a 5-megapixel front camera with a f/2.4 aperture, 1/5″ sensor size, and 1.12 µm pixel size to capture perfect selfie. Both cameras support 1080p video recording at 30fps. It comes with 16GB of native storage, which is expandable via microSD card up to 32GB.
Apart from 4G LTE, connectivity options on the LG K8 2017 mobile include Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS/ A-GPS, Micro-USB with OTG, stereo FM radio with RDS, Bluetooth 4.1, NFC, and a 3.5mm jack. The smartphone runs Android 7.0 Nougat with the company’s customisation on top. It packs in a 2500mAh battery and for sensors include accelerometer, and a proximity sensor.
