Ulefone S8 With Dual Camera, Android 7.0 and 3000mAh battery Announced

Ulefone recently launched a brand new budget dual camera smartphone with Android 7.0 Nougat OS, called Ulefone S8, that features 0.5mm Bezel-less design, fingerprint sensor, and a 3000mAh battery at under $70. At this price point, the smartphone will look to compete against the UMIDIGI Z1, Gretel GT6000, Leagoo M7, Bluboo D1, Cubot Rainbow 2, and the recently launched Leagoo Kiicaa Power – however, it has one major missing feature: 4G LTE support.

The dual-SIM Ulefone S8 runs on Android 7.0 Nougat and sports a 5.3-inch IPS LCD bezel-less display with HD (720×1280 pixels) resolutions. The device has Metal back cover and frame design that gives it solid and sturdy look. It is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MTK6580 processor clubbed with Mali-400 MP GPU along with 1GB of RAM. Inbuilt storage stands at 8GB, but this is expandable via microSD card up to 128GB. In terms of design, the smartphone features a dual camera module and a speaker on the back with antenna lines running along the top and bottom of the handset. The power button and volume controls can be found on the right side.

Moving over to the optics, the Ulefone S8 houses a dual rear camera sensor – one with 13-megapixel and a 5-megapixels secondary camera with F/2.2 aperture and dual-tone LED flash. Now you can capture sharp images with Bokeh effect and mild background. For selfie, it has a 5-megapixel front-facing camera with front LED flash. The handset also has a rear fingerprint sensor with up to 5 touch IDs.

Connectivity options include 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS, USB 2.0, and 3.5mm audio jack. Sadly, the S8 doesn’t support 4G. The smartphone packs a 3000mAh battery measures 146.4 x 72.2 x 9.2mm and weighs 184 grams.
