After Anker launched a new 11-in-1 USB-C hub Anker 565 (approx. $100 on Amazon) just a few days ago, the Anker 551 is another new iPad Pro stand product from the accessories specialist. It is a tablet holder stand with an integrated 8-in-1 USB-C hub.

At first glance, the Anker 551 looks like a classic tablet stands with a relatively chunky base. A 180-degree rotatable tablet holder is attached to a 70-degree adjustable arm, which works universally for all tablets and can be aligned in many ways.

Several ports for the integrated USB-C hub are housed on the side and rear of the base. If this is used with a compatible tablet such as an iPad Pro from 2018, the iPad Air from the 4th generation (approx. $530 on Amazon) or another one with a USB-C connection equipped tablet, so many new possibilities open up.

The hub offers a total of eight different connections. In addition to the USB-C port for connecting the tablet – a corresponding cable is included – the hub has one USB-C PD with up to 100 watts, two USB-A with 5 Gbit/s, and one HDMI 2.0 with 4K@60Hz, a 3.5mm jack and slots for microSD and SD memory cards. The Anker 551 tablet stand is compatible with the operating systems iPadOS, macOS, and Windows 10 and 11.

The recommended retail price for the Anker 551 tablet holder stand with an integrated 8-in-1 USB-C hub is around $99.99 / £99.99. The product is available at this price from Amazon.com and Amazon.co.uk online stores. A power pack for powering the tablet is not included. The manufacturer recommends using a 45-100 watt USB-C charger connected to the USB-C Power Delivery input port to provide powerful pass-through charging to the iPad or tablet. Here is the Anker Nano II 65W USB-C charger for around $50.
