Samsung Odyssey Neo G9 Gaming Monitor Now Available to Pre-Order

Samsung unveiled its new flagship Mini LED gaming monitor, the Odyssey Neo G9. The 32:9 display used, with its high resolution, brightness, and frame rate, leaves little room for improvement, but the new Samsung gaming monitor costs a lot accordingly.

Samsung Odyssey Neo G9 monitor

After Samsung last year with the Odyssey G9 presented its best to go gaming monitor, is now following the Samsung Neo G9, finally the successor. The manufacturer was able to improve many details by changing the display technology, which should make the Samsung G9 Neo monitor even more interesting for many gamers.

Customers receive a 49-inch display with a resolution of 5120 x 1440 pixels. Samsung relies on its new Quantum Mini LED technology. It enables a brightness of up to 2000 cd/m2 in the peak, a high refresh rate of 240Hz, and a fairly low response time of one millisecond (GTG). Like its predecessor, the Samsung Odyssey G9 Neo version also has a high curvature radius of 1000R. Samsung specifies the static contrast as 1,000,000: 1.

The Samsung Odyssey G9 2021 monitor also comes with support for Nvidia G-Sync and AMD FreeSync Premium Pro. The display is connected via DisplayPort 1.4 or HDMI 2.1. As usual, the monitor has an integrated USB hub and a headphone output. If you want to mount the Odyssey Neo G9 on your wall, you can do this with a Vesa (100×100) mount.

Price and availability

Samsung Odyssey Neo G9 monitor has been priced at $2,499.99 and is now available to pre-order via Amazon.com, Newegg.com, and Bestbuy.com online stores. The shipping will be started on August 23, 2021.
