Psyonix has published the new Patch 1.40 for Rocket League on all platforms and also confirmed the arrival of a Collector’s Edition for Switch in January 2018.
The Patch 1.40 update improves overall game performance on all platforms with some specific PC and Nintendo Switch fixes. On the Nintendo console, in fact, there is reduced the default Controller Deadzone to 0.15 from 0.3 to better utilize Joy-Con analog sticks. However, the extent of the improvement is not specified in detail.
PC gamers, on the other hand, can rely on a fixing some graphics problems that occurred when the “High-Quality Shaders” option was deactivated.
Rocket League for Switch is currently only available in digital format, but from January you can also buy the special edition in physical format distributed by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. The Rocket League Collector’s Edition, in addition to containing the fun title on the cartridge, will include a series of additional content, some inspired by the Flash character of DC Comics. There will also be a limited edition print created by the concept artist Jay Zhang of Psyonix.
