Ricoh GR III Street Edition Compact Digital Camera Now Available as a Standalone Product

Back in June this year Ricoh has introduced the GR III Street Edition compact digital camera, but with an accessory kit. Now things have been changed, the Ricoh GR III Street Edition is now available as a standalone product, rather than a camera kit with a viewfinder and genuine leather strap.

You can pre-order the Ricoh GR III Street Edition on Bhphotovideo.com at $946.95 for the camera only, and now you can purchase the accessories separately based upon your needs.

The GR III Street Edition has a 24.2MP APS-C CMOS sensor, GR Engine 6, unique surface texture, which is achieved by a multi-layer spray process that provides a smooth-but-non-slippery feel. It has a striking yellow-orange accent color ring cap on the external viewfinder, and a leather hand strap. A shutdown screen featuring a specially designed product logo and a street-view image that symbolizes the camera’s “street snapshot” concept.

Additionally, the GR III Street Edition also includes the Full Press Snap feature, which lets you instantly shift the focus point of the lens to a preselected position when the shutter release button is fully pressed. This function can also be assigned to the rear LCD, where you simply tap the touch screen to quickly change focus and ignore the standard AF process, to help intuitively capture fleeting moments.
