Google gives Pixel Buds 2 Bluetooth Wireless Earbuds new Features and More Bass

Google has started rolling out the first Feature Drop update for the Pixel Buds 2 Bluetooth wireless earbuds. With the new software, the Google buds get a bass boost and a few practical new features, such as the ability to control the volume of the two buds separately if you share them with a friend.

Google Pixel Buds 2

A few weeks ago, Google promised a major software update for the Pixel Buds 2, which, among other things, should fix the Bluetooth problems that many users had reported. In a blog entry, Google has now announced that the rollout of this new update has started, and also explained what new features users can expect.

With the new Bass Boost, the bass can now be amplified via a controller in the settings of the associated app, with “Sharing Detection” the Google Pixel Earbuds automatically recognize when you share them with a friend, so that the volume can be controlled separately for both buds, by running your finger over the touch-sensitive surface on the outside.

Attention Alerts is also new – an experimental feature that allows you to amplify important noises from your environment so that you don’t miss anything, such as a baby crying or a dog barking. The integration of Google Translate has also been improved, as English can now be translated into French, German, Italian, and Spanish in real-time.

The Google Earbuds will also appear in the “Find My Device” app in the future so that you can see the last known position if you lose your earbuds. In addition, the Google Assistant learns a few new tricks: the voice assistant can switch the touch gestures on and off in the future, the charge level of the battery can simply be queried after the feature drop.

Google Pixel Buds 2 Bluetooth wireless earbuds can be purchased through the Bhphotovideo.com store for $179 and comes in Almost Black, Clearly White, Oh So Orange, and Quite Mint color options.
