Philips brought the Evnia 34M2C8600 to market, four months after introducing the curved monitor. The Philips 34M2C8600 has a QD-OLED panel that operates at 1440p resolution and a 175 Hz refresh rate.

The Evnia 34M2C8600 is a monitor that Philips unveiled in October along with the Evnia 27M2C5500W, Evnia 34M2C7600MV, and Evnia 42M2N8900. At first, the company decided not to reveal too many details about these monitors, including the Evnia 34M2C8600. Philips describes the entire Evnia series as follows:

The new Evnia gaming monitor is designed for everyone. One of the features of this monitor is the Ambiglow function; it exemplifies what Evnia is all about: innovation, friendliness, openness, and a touch of playfulness. The Ambiglow feature allows each player to set the mood, or mood, of the room. This allows every gamer to feel comfortable and personalize their gaming experience.

A 34-inch QD-OLED panel is at the heart of the Philips 34M2C8600, which displays 3,440 x 1,440 pixels with a 21:9 aspect ratio, 1800R curvature, and DisplayHDR True Black 400 certification. The Philips Evnia 34M2C8600 delivers 97.8% AdobeRGB color space coverage, 0.1ms response times, and 450nits peak brightness when viewing HDR content. Philips adds that the monitor achieves a refresh rate of 100Hz over HDMI and 175Hz over DisplayPort or USB Type-C.

The company’s decision to use HDMI 2.0 ports explains why the Evnia 34M2C8600 cannot utilize its maximum refresh rate with HDMI-connected devices. For reference, the Evnia 34M2C8600 has two HDMI 2.0 ports, a DisplayPort 1.4 connection, and a USB Type-C port that supports 90W Power Delivery and DisplayPort Alt Mode. Additionally, the monitor has a USB Type-A hub with six connections, 5W stereo speakers, and a KVM switch.
