Panasonic Lumix BS1H Full-frame Cinema Camera officially unveiled

Panasonic introduced a new full-frame box camera named Lumix BS1H. The full-frame live camera is a modular “box”, the electronics of which are based on the component base of the Panasonic S1H camera.

BS1H cinema camera received a full-frame sensor with a resolution of 24MP and Dual Native ISO technology. The Panasonic camera allows you to record video with a resolution of 6K (readout from the entire area of ​​the matrix), a clear picture even in low light, a dynamic range of up to 14+ stops, V-Log, and other features of a large sensor. And all this in a fairly compact package.

Lumix BS1H is a camera that is not subject to overheating. Like the previous “box” on the MFT – BGH1, the new box camera is designed for long and continuous video recording.

The Lumix Panasonic camera can record in 6K / 24p, 5.4K / 30p (aspect ratio: 3: 2) or 5.9K / 30p (aspect ratio: 16: 9). Recording is also available in 10-bit 60p 4K / C4K HEVC with a crop equivalent to Super 35mm or 4: 2: 2 10-bit 4K / 30p in H.264 from the entire sensor area.

BS1H live camera uses colorimetry from the VariCam line of motion picture cameras. The camera, of course, has V-Log / V-Gamut to provide a wide dynamic range and wide color gamut.

Panasonic Lumix BS1H full-frame box camera is now available to pre-order via the Bhphotovideo.com and Adorama.com websites for $3,497.99, and shipping will begin from November 08, 2021.
