Along with the new compact soundbars, Panasonic has also expanded its Microsystem HC Series with the SC-HC200, SC-HC300 and SC-HC2020 compact sound systems. Let’s start with the complete model. The third generation LincsD amplifier is capable of delivering a 40W power. The sound is diffused through two 8 cm full range speakers and two Twisted Acoustic Port which reinforce the lower frequencies. You can play CDs, listen to FM radio with DAB+ and use integrated Chromecast features.
Panasonic HC2020 can play music from Spotify, Google Play Music, TuneIn Radio, Deezer and so on. To start playback, simply use the appropriate applications for iOS and Android and enable streaming on the Panasonic system. Mobile devices can also control all functions via the Panasonic Music Control app. Connectivity includes Bluetooth and Wi-Fi, a USB port and a 3.5mm jack input. The HC2020 also supports the Panasonic multi-room ecosystem (it can broadcast music in various environments, connecting to other compatible products) and can be combined with the SC-GA10 speaker, which becomes capable of control listening to songs using the Google Assistant.
Panasonic SC-HC300 uses a 20W LincsD amplifier. The sound is diffused through two 8 cm full-range speakers, like HC2020 but without the Twisted Acoustic Port. The CD player, FM radio with DAB+ (only on the SC-HC302 variant), Bluetooth, a USB port and 3.5 mm jack input are always present. Instead, the integrated Chromecast and the possibility of interfacing with the GA10 speaker are missing. The SC-H200 further simplifies the equipment: the power source and drivers type are identical to HC300. The DAB+ radio is not available and the input on 3.5 mm jack is also missing.
Prices and availability will be announced soon.
