Oppo A71 2018 variant has been quietly launched in Taiwan and Pakistan. It is the latest budget smartphone device from the company in the A series, it is said to be an upgraded variant of the Oppo A71 was launched back in September 2017 in India. The Oppo A71 2018 is available in Black and Gold color variant and has been priced at PKR 19,899 – approximately $179. It is now listed on the Oppo’s Taiwan and Pakistan online stores.
Oppo A71 2018 Specifications
The Oppo A71 2018 features a 5.2-inch IPS LCD display with HD (720 x 1280 pixels) resolution, along with 16 million colors that can deliver natural picture quality. It is powered by a 1.8 GHz octa-core processor that’s fueled by Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 chipset paired with Adreno 506 GPU. The device packs in 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory which is expandable up to 256GB with the help of microSD card slot.
On the camera front, the A71 2018 has a 13-megapixel primary autofocus camera on the back with f/2.2 aperture and LED flash. It shoots Full HD 1080p videos. There is a 5-megapixel front-facing camera with a wide f/2.4 aperture to capture wide group selfies and high-quality video chatting.
The company also touts that the rear camera of the A71 2018 is also equipped with “Multi-Frame Denoising technology, making for clearer pictures under low light conditions, with greater details and more realistic colors. Even though the smartphone doesn’t carry a dual camera setup, Oppo claims that the cameras offered in A71 2018 are capable of producing Bokeh effect for portraits.
It also has A.I. Beauty Recognition technology that uses artificial intelligence to recognize skin tone and type, the gender and age of all subjects within an image and analyze environment lighting conditions by referencing other facial images from a massive global photo database, to beautify a selfie shot.
The handset runs on Android 7.1 Nougat with ColorOS 3.2 interface on top. It packs a 3000mAh battery under the hood, the device measures 143.1 x 73.8 x 7.6mm dimensions and weighs 137 grams. It has a dual SIM card slot on board along with 4G VoLTE connectivity, apart from 4G includes 3G, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS, A-GPS, Bluetooth 4.1, USB 2.0, 3.5 mm audio jack and FM Radio connectivity options.
