Nokia G20 landed in North America for $199, with two OS updates and three years of security updates

HMD Global has recently confirmed that the Nokia G20 will make its way to North America, after being announced in Europe. And now the Nokia G 20 available to pre-order for $199.99 and the device will also receive updates until at least 2024.

HMD Global revealed the Nokia G20 in April, but only in Europe. However, the new Nokia smartphone is now available to pre-order in North America via Bhphotovideo.com and set the price of the device to $199.99, about 10% less than in the eurozone (189 euros). It is available in the Night Blue and Glacier Silver color options.

For the new Nokia smart phone, HMD Global promises “the perfect balance between everyday requirements and uncomplicated, problem-solving technology”. With G20, special attention is paid to a long battery life, which the manufacturer specifies as three days. According to the manufacturer, this is the longest ever for Nokia cell phones.

They want to ensure trust by promising the buyer monthly security updates for the Android operating system for three years. In addition, two years of operating system updates to new Android versions are guaranteed. Android 11 is installed ex-works. It’s three years for the X series. Unlocking via face recognition or the fingerprint sensor on the side provides additional security.

Nokia G20 Specifications

Nokia has added the new G20 to its extensive collection of low-cost smartphones. The G20 is an entry-level smartphone and spaced accordingly. It is equipped with a 6.5 inch IPS HD + (720 x 1200) LCD display. It has a 5,050mAh battery that doesn’t appear to support some form of fast charging and the 8MP selfie camera module. Nokia also added a side fingerprint sensor and FM radio.

As for the interior, the Nokia G20 is equipped with a MediaTek Helio G35 SoC coupled with 4 GB of RAM and 64 / 128 GB of storage. The storage is expandable up to 512 GB via a micro SD card.

As for the camera, the Nokia G20 is equipped with a 48 MP primary sensor, a 5 MP ultra wide angle lens, a 2 MP macro lens and a 2 MP depth sensor. And the weight is 195 grams.

Recently, HMD Global has also made available the Nokia 5.4 smartphone in USA for $235 (check out Amazon). The new Nokia cell phone comes with quad rear cameras as well as carries the Nordic design that we saw on the Nokia 3.4 and Nokia 2.4 earlier.
