MSI Optix G27CQ4 Curved Monitor Supports 165Hz Refresh Rate, WQHD Resolution

MSI has expanded its Optix gaming monitor line-up with the Optix G27CQ4 model. The MSI curved monitor has WQHD resolution with 1500R curvature and the diagonal of the curved-screen is 27 inches.

As the creators note, the radius of curvature of the monitor screen, equal to 1500R, is the most suitable for the human eye. But how well WQHD resolution correlates with screen area is a big question.

MSI Optix G27CQ4 uses a VA LCD panel, the declared values ​​of brightness, contrast and pixel response are, respectively, 250 cd / m2, 3000: 1 ms response time. It also claims coverage of 115% sRGB and 92% DCI-P3. The 165Hz monitor supports AMD Freesync technology and a fairly high frame rate – 165 Hz.

The set of interface connectors MSI Optix G27CQ4 is represented by three ports: DVI, HDMI 2.0, and DisplayPort 1.2.
