MSI has launched the successor to the popular G2712 gaming monitor. Notably, the new MSI G2712F retains the key features of its predecessor, such as a 27-inch IPS panel and Full HD resolution (1920 x 1080 pixels). However, it also comes with some notable improvements.
First and foremost, the G2712F boasts a maximum refresh rate of 180 Hz. This provides gamers with even smoother gameplay compared to its predecessor. In addition, the brightness has been increased to 300 cd/m². As a result, users can enjoy brighter and more vibrant visuals. Furthermore, the monitor now offers a contrast ratio of 1000:1, which delivers deeper blacks and richer colors. The G2712F’s 8-bit color depth and 1 ms response time (gray to gray) ensure accurate and fast color reproduction.
Moreover, the G2712F impressively covers 96 percent of the sRGB color space, 80 percent of Adobe RGB, and 76 percent of DCI-P3. This means that the monitor displays colors with remarkable accuracy and fidelity.
When it comes to connectivity, the G2712F offers an updated interface. Users can now enjoy two HDMI 2.0b inputs (instead of 1.4b), a DisplayPort 1.2a, and a headphone output. These options provide easy connectivity to various devices.
