The design of the Meike lens is quite impressive, it includes twelve elements in seven groups and a total weight of 670 g. The manufacturer promises beautiful bokeh thanks to a 10-blade diaphragm.

The Meike 50mm f1.2 prime lens is suited for a variety of shooting applications, ranging from portraiture to landscapes. The f/1.2 design excels in low-light conditions and also provides increased control over depth of field for isolating subject matter using selective focus techniques. A multi-layer coating is also used to reduce flare and ghosting for greater contrast and color accuracy.

This manual focus lens permits working with subjects as close as 2′ away and a printed focusing scale aids with pre-focusing techniques. The all-metal lens barrel has a smooth, frosted surface and a metal bayonet mount also affords increased rigidity and mounting accuracy.
