Leica M Typ 262 with Shutter Cocking Mechanism goes up for Pre-order at $5,195

Leica has officially added the new Leica M Typ 262 in Range Finder Camera Series. This is a shortened version of the Leica M Typ 240 with 24-megapixel full-frame CMOS sensor, features 10x live view and supported Full-HD 1080p video recording. In return Typ 262 has a new Quiet Shutter Cocking Mechanism, stills only – no live view and a lot inexpensive than a senior Typ 240.Leica M Typ 262The overall appearance of the Leica M Typ 262 unchanged compared with other Leica M. Same rangfinder, 0.68x optical viewfinder, system buttons and the LCD screen on the back. But some buttons are missed because of less features. Specifically Live View button on Leica M 240 camera has been replaced, magnesium alloy body with synthetic leather covering is both durable as well as minimal in design, a top plate is engineered from durable aluminium, which makes it around 100 grams lighter. The Leica M 262 features a 24-megapixel full-frame CMOS sensor with Maestro processor as the predecessor version, ensure the device is always ready to operate immediately when the moment happens. Especially on this Typ 262, Leica was equipped with a new shutter cocking system ideal for this purpose that is quieter in single exposure mode. In single exposure mode, this enables a shutter release frequency of up to two frames per second. In continuous mode, it has the same sequential shooting speed as Typ 240 and shoots up to three frames per second.

Leica M Typ 262 priced at $5195, which available for pre-order at online BHphotovideo shop. Compared with the Leica M Typ 240 priced $6380, as its distinct among the M-range due to its omission of live view and video recording functionality, but a new shutter mechanism and save some bucks.
