Pepsi Phone P1s with Fingerprint Sensor and 13MP Camera Launched

Chinese manufacturers continue to tirelessly produce a lot of smart phones, today we are talking about the new Pepsi Smartphone – Pepsi P1s, which was recently rumored in the market. And today company officially announced the device dubbed as the Pepsi Phone P1s and listed on Chinese online retailer’s site at CNY 699 – approximately $110 limited 1000 units. There are two different devices as the standard version named Pepsi P1 and P1s only difference relates to support of China Unicom FDD-LTE network.

The Pepsi Phone P1s features a 5.5-inch 2.5D arc glass display with Full HD 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution. It is powered by 1.7 GHz octa-core processor which backed by MediaTek MT6592 SoC along with Mali 450-MP4 GPU. It packs a 2GB of RAM, a 16GB of native storage which can be further expandable up to 32GB with the help of microSD card.

This Pepsi mobile phone bears a 13-megapixel primary camera on the back with LED flash, while the front has a 5-megapixel selfie shooter for wide portraits and video calling. The Pepsi Android phone runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop OS along with new Dido 6.1 UI and packs a 3000mAh battery capacity out of the box.

The Pepsi P1s supports Dual SIM and also comes with Fingerprint Sensor on the back to unlock the device. On connectivity front, includes 4G LTE, 3G, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n, GPS, A-GPS, Bluetooth 4.0 and MicroUSB 2.0 options.

The Pepsi P1s or P1 is now available via jd.com in China. The early bidders (now over) were offered a price of CNY 499 – approximately $78. After that its available at CNY 699 – approximately $109 for next 1,000 bidders, after which it will be available for CNY 999 – approximately $155 and followed by CNY 1,299 – approximately $203 until the target has been achieved.
