The optical design of the Laowa Ranger 28-75mm T2.9 comprises 22 elements arranged in 18 groups, while the Laowa Ranger 75-180mm T2.9 consists of 14 elements in 14 groups. Both lenses boast 10 aperture blades and cover a 43.2mm image circle. With a focused stroke of 270 degrees, they offer precise control over your shots.
Despite their robust performance, the Ranger series lenses weigh a mere 1.4 kg each and feature a compact design. The lenses possess a front filter diameter of 77mm and a front diameter of 80mm. They are parfocal, ensuring consistent focus while also incorporating a built-in back focus adjustment.
Impressively, the 28-75mm and 75-180mm lenses excel in close focusing distances, with the ability to focus as closely as 0.49m at 28-75mm and 0.89m at 75-180mm. Additionally, these lenses exhibit minimal to no focus breathing, providing superior control over your shots. Both lenses are equipped with 77mm filter threads.
