iRobot Roomba s9+ and Braava Jet m6 are two new robots dedicated to vacuum cleaning that will be available for purchase starting next July 12th, at a price of $1,299 and $499 respectively.
The main feature of the new iRobot products is the proprietary Imprint Link Technology that allows both products to communicate with each other to perform real teamwork. The combined cleaning action can be started directly from the iRobot Home app – available on the Android and iOS operating system – through the special “Linked clean” feature.
This technology as it is specified can also be exploited on Roomba i7+ as well.
Roomba s9+
Defined by the same company as “the best robot vacuum cleaner in the world”, Roomba s9+ is equipped with 30% wider rubber cleaning brushes and 40 times the suction of previous Roomba vacuum cleaners. The product can also boast the presence of a new 3D sensor that helps it to navigate in large spaces, along the edges, and in-depth in the corners where it can effectively clean thanks to a specially designed corner brush.
Finally, there is an anti-allergy system that traps and blocks 99% of the pollen and mold allergens present in the robot. Roomba s9+ is also available in a ‘standard’ variant without the word “plus” which is different due to the absence of a cleaning base. More info and some videos in the Source below.
Braava Jet m6
Braava jet m6 uses both wet and dry mopping cleaning cloths. These two modes are available:
- Dry Sweeping: the pad uses electrostatic force to capture dirt, dust, and pet hair.
- Wet Mopping mode: the Precision Jet Spray and pad tackle sticky messes, grime, and kitchen grease.
Just like the Roomba s9+, Braava Jet m6 also uses vSLAM technology and Imprint Smart Mapping to learn the layout of the house. Jet m6 is specially designed for hard floor surfaces such as wood, tiles, and stones and is able to travel independently to its own charging base once the battery is discharged.
