iiyama brings the new edition of the G2560HSU Gaming Monitor with 165 Hz

Japanese company iiyama lists the G-Master G2560HSU-B3 monitor with speakers, a new edition of the G-Master G2560HSU-B1 gaming screen released in 2018. As with its predecessor, a 24.5-inch TN panel with full HD resolution (1920 x 1080 pixels), 1000: 1 contrast ratio, 400 cd/m² brightness, and 8-bit color depth are available.

The new iiyama monitor, however, promises a maximum refresh rate of 165 instead of 144 Hz. Not explicitly listed, but due to the TN panel, a 1 ms gray change is obvious. Two integrated 2-watt speakers are just as much a part of the equipment as FreeSync premium support against tearing.

On the interface side, the new game monitor includes DisplayPort 1.3, HDMI 2.0, a USB 2.0 hub, and a headphone output. Meanwhile, there are significant cuts compared to the 2018 predecessor elsewhere.

While the G2560HSU-B1 has rotation, inclination, height adjustment, and pivot, the G2560HSU-B3 can only be tilted according to the datasheet. However, a blue light filter, a VESA mounting (100 x 100 mm), and flicker-free background lighting don’t need to be put off. The typical power consumption of the Full HD monitor is 22 watts, which is on par with its predecessor.

Price and availability

The iiyama G-Master G2560HSU-B3 gaming monitor with speakers is now in stock or available from online shop at a price of around £216.20.
