iFi introduces Signature Series: Pro iDSD Signature and Pro iCAN Signature Headphone Amps

iFi has officially launched two new flagship headphones amplifier products in the Signature Series, the Pro iDSD Signature wireless audio streamer, DAC/preamp player, and the Pro iCAN Signature amplifier. Pro iDSD Signature is a standalone streamer and DAC/preamp/amp feature improved from Pro iDSD, using NOS GE5670 tube and supporting work with PS4/PS5 consoles (via USB 1.0 protocol). The second product is the Pro iCAN Signature amplifier which is also customized for stronger performance than its predecessor Pro iCAN.

Pro iDSD Signature

Pro iDSD Signature can work as a standalone device with rich features including network streamer, DAC, preamp, and headphones amplifier. iFi introduces Pro iDSD Signature will have a dark sound quality and strong bass, use NOS GE5670 tube, and support working with PS4/PS5 game consoles (via USB 1.0 protocol). Pro iDSD Signature will also come with an iPower Elite power supply for 300% less background noise than before.

Pro iDSD Signature is equipped with a combination of 4 DACs that promise to deliver extremely high resolution. The device uses the XMOS XU216 X-Core 200 chipset family with the ultimate audio decoding ability, supporting low to high formats such as MP3, PCM 768kHz/32-bit, DSD512, 2xDXD, and MQA. Pro iDSD Signature also has an additional Crysopeia FPGA Digital Engine that allows upscaling PCM and DSD signals to DSD512 or DSD1024.

Pro iDSD Signature has a switch that converts various working modes including Solid-State, Tube, and Tube+ based on Crysopeia FPGA Digital Engine algorithm and GTO Filter. Users can switch between filters such as Bit Perfect, Bit Perfect+, Apodising, and Transient Aligned to suit their listening preferences. The machine uses a Class-A amplifier structure.

In terms of workability, Pro iDSD Signature headphones amplifier allows streaming from diverse sources such as Tidal, Spotify, Napster, QQ Music… and many other services. The device supports AirPlay connectivity for iPhone, iPad, has an Ethernet port to plug in a NAS, and is compatible with DLNA protocol to stream music from smartphones, tablets, and Windows / Linux computers. Users can also directly plug in a hard drive, USB, or memory card to listen to music. The back of the device has a Single-Ended 6.3mm, S-Balanced 3.5mm, and Balanced 4.4mm jack for headphones.

Pro iCAN Signature

Pro iCAN Signature is a powerful upgrade from Pro iCAN with many notable improvements. Pro iCAN Signature’s amplifier circuit structure has been replaced with high-end components for much higher performance, along with the leading iPower Elite power supply for 300% less background noise than before. Pro iCAN Signature has a 4.4mm balanced jack for high-end headphones.

Pro iCAN Signature features a complete differential balanced circuit design to deliver extremely low distortion. Headphones Amplifier has a strong capacity with balanced output current > 14,000mW and single-ended > 4,800mW to ensure good pulling of most current headphone models. The device also has a gain adjustment feature to best suit each headset you have.

Similar to Pro iDSD Signature, Pro iCAN Signature also has a variety of working modes including Solid-State, Tube, and Tube+ that can be quickly switched by the switch on the body. Pro iCAN Signature’s XBass and 3D Holographic algorithms allow users to customize the sound to their preferences. XBass will help the bass become stronger, while 3D Holographic will have 2 modes for speakers and headphones. Pro iCAN Signature features Single-Ended 6.3mm, S-Balanced 3.5mm, and Balanced 4.4mm jacks.
