HP Pavilion Plus 14 2024, a successor to 2023 model, offers choices of Ryzen 8000 or Intel Core Ultra. The Intel model is lighter and includes Thunderbolt 4 support. Conversely, the AMD model may offer superior performance and efficiency.
The HP Pavilion Plus 14 will offer a choice of AMD or Intel processors in 2024. Top models will feature either an AMD Ryzen 7 8845HS or an Intel Core Ultra 7 155H. While both models offer strong performance, the AMD Radeon 780M tends to achieve better gaming performance.
However, the Intel model also has two tangible advantages. Firstly, the Pavilion Plus 14 2024 with Meteor Lake weighs 1.45 kilograms, around 70 grams less than the AMD model, and secondly, only the Intel model supports Thunderbolt 4 (40 Gbit/s), while AMD has to make do with two USB-C (10 Gbit/s). Both models also have USB-A (10 Gbit/s) and HDMI 2.1.
The HP thin laptop 14-inch top models also come with a 14-inch OLED display with a resolution of 2,880 x 1,800 pixels, a frame rate of 120 Hz, and a brightness of 400 nits. You can charge the 68 Wh battery via USB-C port with up to 100 watts. HP has installed a 5-megapixel webcam with an infrared camera for Windows login via facial recognition and an illuminated keyboard.
