Hasselblad H6D-100c and H6D-50c: New Medium Format Camera lineup Launched

Hasselblad H6D is a completely new Medium Format camera system unveiled by the company to celebrate its 75th Anniversary of incorporation. In the past few years Hasselblad has taken a hit in the camera segment by releasing rebranded Sony cameras. But things are going to be different moving forward, and Hasselblad focus on their core expertise is manufacturing high-end Medium Format cameras, which are facing strong competition from Phase One.Hasselblad H6D

New Hasselblad H6D is the next generation camera line up with two different versions such as Hasselblad H6D-100c and Hasselblad H6D-50c, and Hasselblad called it “a new chapter in medium format photography.”

Hasselblad H6D-100C:

This new Hasselblad Digital Camera contains a very powerful hardware such as Medium Format full-frame sensor with a resolution of up to 100MP, dynamic range of up to 15 stops. This sensor also contains 16 million colors with a wide sensitivity range of ISO 64-12800 extended to 100-12800. Directly compete to Phase One XF 100MP.Hasselblad H6D-100c

The H6D-100C has the ability to shoot both UHD 4K and Full HD video at 30 fps in the RAW format, Video can be saved in the proprietary Hasselblad RAW format. Photos and videos taken from the camera has a large amount of capacity, so it’s equipped with dual memory cards slots – one CFast slot and one SD slot. The camera features an improved leaf shutter unit for increased shutter and flash sync speeds of up to 1/2000 sec. and the slowest speed of up to 60 minutes. In addition, the camera also has 3.0-inch touchscreen LCD display with integrated WiFi and especially USB 3.0 Type-C connectivity.

With all these great things this camera has a very competitive price around $32,995, and can be pre-ordered from BHPhoto store, will be shipped around in June 2016.

A very similar to the H6D-100C, H6D-50C also has the ability to shoot at shutter speeds up to 60 minutes, there is also 3.0-inch touchscreen LCD display, with integrated WiFi and USB 3.0 Type C. But this is a little stripped down version compared to the H6D-100C, first is the 50-megapixel 43.8 x 32.9mm Medium format sensor, 14-Stop Dynamic range, sensitivity range of ISO 100-6400 and can shoot Full-HD 1080p video at 30 fps in Hasselblad RAW format, no supports for 4K video recording. Therefore, it’s also priced down to $25,955 and available for pre-order on BHPhoto store while it will be sold at the end of this month.
