Dell introduces the redesigned Dell Latitude 7640 2023, a business notebook from the Latitude 7000 series. This premium-class laptop offers the latest Intel Raptor Lake U and P series CPUs, up to 64 GB of LPDDR5x RAM, and new FHD+ 16:10 displays with a brightness of up to 300 nits.
The new generation of Dell’s premium business notebook is represented by the Dell Latitude 7640 2023 from the Latitude 7000 series. One exciting feature is the optional mini-LED lighting for the keyboard, which Dell claims can extend battery life by up to 3 hours. The notebook is equipped with Intel Raptor Lake U-series and P-series processors, and customers can choose between 32 GB of soldered LPDDR5 RAM or up to 64 GB of LPDDR5x RAM.
The introduction of the 16:10 aspect ratio brings a more compact design to the devices and allows the 16-inch model to offer a larger screen. The FHD+ displays with 300 nits brightness are available as touch displays with optional pen input and Gorilla Glass Victus.
Thanks to the proximity sensor, the display can pixelate when it detects other people nearby or dim when the user looks away. The login process is also simplified as the laptop recognizes who is approaching or leaving for easy authentication and logout.
The Dell Latitude 7640 2023 features 2x Thunderbolt 4 ports, which will receive DisplayPort 2.1 support through an update. The laptop also offers FHD webcams with IR and physical aperture, with an optional 5 MP variant. The built-in quad speakers have been enhanced, and as usual, Dell Latitude keyboards are known for their high quality.

The Dell Latitude 7640 2023 series is now available for pre-order on Bhphotovideo.com and Newegg.com. Pricing starts at $1,650 for the model with a 13th Gen Intel Core i5-1335U processor, 16 GB LPDDR5 RAM, 256 GB M.2 SSD, and a 16-inch 1920 x 1200 IPS display.
