Coolpad Modena 2 has been quietly launched in Europe, it is the latest affordable smartphone from the Coolpad Cell Phone company in the Modena series, it is said to be an upgraded variant of the Coolpad Modena Telefon was launched back in 2015 in Europe. The Coolpad Modena 2 price in Europe is set to EUR 179 – approximately $199 USD / INR. 13,350. The handset is available in Champagne Gold color variant and listed on Amazon.de online e-commerce store. 
The Modena 2 features a 5.5-inch IPS LCD display with HD (720 x 1280 pixels) resolutions, along with 16 million colors that can deliver a pixel density of 267ppi. The screen is also covered with 2.5D curved glass layer too. It is powered by a 1.0 GHz quad-core processor that’s fueled by 64-bit MediaTek MT6735P chipset paired with Mali-T720 GPU. The device packs in 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory which is expandable up to 32GB with the help of microSD card slot.
On the camera front, the Modena 2 has an 8-megapixel autofocus primary camera on the back with LED flash. It shoots Full HD 1080p videos at 30fps. The camera also features PDAF, Touch Focus, Gesture Shot, Smile detection, Face detection and much more. There is a same 8-megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.2 aperture and 83-degree wide angle lens to capture a wide group selfies and high quality video chatting.
This Coolpad smartphone runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS with Cool UI 8.0 interface on top. It packs a 2500mAh battery under the hood. It has a dual SIM card slot on board along with 4G LTE connectivity, apart from 4G includes 3G, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS, A-GPS, Bluetooth 4.0, USB 2.0 with OTG, 3.5 mm audio jack and FM Radio connectivity options. It measures 155 x 77 x 8.0 mm and weighs 143 grams.
Few days ago, Coolpad India has announced Coolpad Mega 2.5D smartphone in India, priced at Rs. 6,999 – approximately $112 USD and it is available in Gold, White and Grey color options. It will go on sale from August 24th exclusively via Amazon India.
