Cooler Master has new gaming monitors in the pipeline. The Cooler Master GM34-CWQ2 curved gaming monitor has a particularly high refresh rate and is in addition to the Tempest GZ2711 and Tempest GP2711. The model is relatively large and also has a reasonable resolution.
Cooler Master not only offers cases and PC components but also monitors. With the GM34-CWQ2, the company has launched a new monitor, which is an improved version of the GM34-CWQ. The new model of the monitor is high-resolution and responsive, and it is also curved.
The panel offers a resolution of 3,440 x 1,440 pixels and is therefore extra wide and has a 21:9 format. The radius of curvature is 1,500 millimeters, which ensures greater immersion and contributes to comfort during use by reducing the need to turn the head.
The screen measures an impressive 34 inches diagonally and is therefore as large as smaller televisions. According to the manufacturer, it is possible to achieve a refresh rate of up to 180 Hz through overclocking. The native refresh rate is up to 165 Hz. The monitor supports VRR and FreeSync Premium. The manufacturer specifies the response time as just 0.5 milliseconds, but this is the MPRT response time. The gray-to-gray response time should be 2 milliseconds.
The monitor supports a native color depth of 8 bits, as well as FRC. It can reproduce the DCI-P3 color space up to 95 percent. The stated brightness is 320 cd/m² and the static contrast ratio is 4,000:1. The monitor also has a USB hub with two ports and two 5-watt speakers. Connected players can receive up to 65 watts of power via USB Type C.
