Asus introduces the VG279QL3A, a new addition to its TUF gaming series, featuring a 27-inch monitor. This model showcases an inbuilt IPS panel with a 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution (Full HD) capable of reaching a maximum refresh rate of 180 Hz. Notably, it’s DisplayHDR-400 certified and guarantees a swift 1 ms gray change.
The monitor offers a contrast ratio of 1000:1, a peak brightness of 400 cd/m², and an 8-bit color depth. Alongside, it boasts 125 percent sRGB and 90 percent DCI-P3. Equipped with two 2-watt internal speakers as sound sources, it also incorporates features like a black stabilizer, along with GamePlus functionalities such as fps display and crosshair overlays.
ELMB Sync, an inclusion in this model, allows for the combination of FreeSync Premium with a mode to tackle motion blur. Additionally, Asus confirmed that the TUF Gaming VG279QL3A supports ELMB Sync.
The ELMB (“Extreme Low Motion Blur”) feature, if used, might be solely operable without sync. The Variable Overdrive, aimed at reducing ghosting and enhancing motion clarity, functions similarly. As for connectivity, it relies on two HDMI 2.0 interfaces, a DisplayPort 1.4, and a headphone output, omitting USB ports. Notably, Full HD at 180 Hz is attainable across all graphic signal inputs.
Ergonomics stand uncompromised by Asus, offering rotation, tilt, height adjustment, pivot, VESA mount (100 x 100 mm), blue light filtering, and a flicker-free backlight. Operating at under 16 watts, the Asus TUF Gaming VG279QL3A embodies efficiency.
