The latest gaming monitor from the Asus sub-brand TUF has even more features than its predecessors. The 27 curved monitor, 165 Hz fast VA panel with DCI-P3 color space, which makes the relatively inexpensive curved screen monitor quite attractive.
After Asus introduced a 280Hz fast refresh rate monitor a few months ago – VG279QM, along with the Asus TUF Gaming A17 and Asus TUF A15 gaming laptops. The company is now presenting the Asus TUF Gaming VG27VH1B 27-inch VA panel has a resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 pixels. The image quality can still be seen on paper: The sRGB color space can be displayed up to 125 percent, with DCI-P3 it is still 90 percent.
The brightness of the anti-glare curved screen is average at 250 cd/㎡, but the contrast of 3000:1 and the viewing angle of 178 degrees are quite robust. Particularly interesting for the gaming target group is the refresh rate of 165 Hz, the response time of 1 ms as well as the support for AMD FreeSync Premium, the certification that was introduced in January, in addition to the usual standards for FreeSync, has a resolution of at least 1080p and a refresh rate of more than 120 Hz and support for LFC (low frame rate compensation) is required. VESA Adaptive-Sync is also supported.
The 27 Curved Monitor can be connected to the computer via HDMI 2.0 or D-sub. In addition to the integrated 2-watt stereo speakers, there is also an AUX connection via which headphones can be connected directly. DisplayPort or USB-C are completely missing in this model. The supplied stand can be tilted, but not adjusted in height.

Asus TUF Gaming VG27VH1B has been priced at $269.99 and it can be purchased through the Newegg.com online store. The curved screen is likely to be a little cheaper than the Asus TUF Gaming VG27WQ, which costs just under $400 on the Newegg store.
