Asus TUF Gaming VG27AQM1A ELMB sync monitor with 260Hz

The Asus TUF Gaming VG27AQML1A was released in the middle of the year and appears to soon be receiving a sister model with slimmed-down features at a presumably significantly lower price. The new TUF Gaming VG27AQM1A Asus ELMB sync monitor also measures 27 inches diagonally and uses an IPS panel with WQHD resolution (2560 x 1440 pixels) at a maximum refresh rate of 260Hz.

There are also no changes in response time (1 ms G2G), color depth (10 bit), contrast value (1000:1), power consumption (26 watts), HDR support (DisplayHDR 400), and typical luminance (400 cd/m²).

Two internal 2-watt speakers, variable overdrive, and ELMB sync are still present. The latter allows FreeSync Premium or G-Sync compatible Adaptive Sync to be combined with an anti-blur tool. The OSD can also be used to control a black stabilizer, activate an fps display, or display a crosshair overlay.

The first differences between the two monitors become apparent in the interface offering. The new ELMB monitor also offers two HDMI 2.0 inputs (WQHD at max. 144 Hz ), a DisplayPort 1.4 (WQHD at max. 260 Hz), a headphone output, and a microphone input, but uses version 2.0 instead of the USB ports 3.2 Gen 1 and only offers one service port.

Meanwhile, the device has a lot of problems when it comes to ergonomics: only tilt, VESA mount (100 x 100 mm), blue light filtering, and flicker-free backlight are available. It weighs 4.2 kg without a stand.
