Alcatel A50 Price in USA, With LightUp SNAPBAK Cover and Amazon Prime Offers

Along with the Idol 5S and A30 Plus, Alcatel also unveiled the A50 smartphone in US, and now the Amazon.com is taking pre-orders for Alcatel A50, which was first unveiled at MWC 2017 this year. Alcatel A50 price in USA is set to $149.99, while the device with LightUp SNAPBAK Cover has been priced at $199.99 for unlocked 16GB version.

Coming to the Amazon Prime Exclusive offers, the device will go up for sale on Amazon starting July 10, 2017. If you don’t mind seeing lock screen ads, you can pick up the Prime Exclusive edition right now for just $149.99, an $50 discount from its retail price. While the device with LightUp SNAPBAK Cover with $70 discount and it is compatible with T-Mobile and AT&T mobile networks.

The highlight feature on the Alcatel A50 is its LED LightUp SNAPBAK Cover that lights up with colors in different patterns. The cover is removable and the company is also offering other cover options including a battery pack and a speaker back. The swappable covers are similar to the Moto Mods. Interestingly, the LightUp SNAPBAK Cover can also provide users notifications and its functionality can be controlled by a dedicated app.

Alcatel A50 Specifications

The A50 smartphone runs Android 7.0 Nougat, sports a 5.2-inch IPS LCD display with HD (1920 x 720 pixels) resolution, and is powered by a 1.5GHz octa-core Mediatek MT6753 SoC coupled with 2GB of RAM. The phone comes with 16GB of internal storage, which is expandable via microSD card.

In terms of optics, the Alcatel A50 features a 13-megapixel primary autofocus camera with dual-tone LED flash with 720p video recording and a 5-megapixel camera at front with LED flash for clicking bright selfies. The smartphone packs a 2800mAh battery. In terms of connectivity options, the A0 offers Cat.4 LTE, Micro-USB, Wi-Fi b/g/n, GPS, and Bluetooth 4.2.
