TravelMate X514-51 is the new Acer brand notebook aimed at small and medium-sized professionals. The strengths declaimed by the Taiwanese company in the launch phase are essentially three: resistance, performance, and portability during travel.

Acer TravelMate X5 is made with a magnesium-lithium and magnesium-aluminum alloy body that promises to withstand up to four times more than standard aluminum alloys with the same thickness. It weighs in 980 grams and a thickness of 14.99 mm. Inside it has an Intel Core 8th generation processor in two configurations with i5-8265U and i7-8565U CPUs, up to 16GB of DDR4 RAM and SSD up to 512GB.
The 14-inch display with IPS technology has a Full HD (1920×1080 pixels) resolution and is surrounded by thin frames with a thickness of 9.2 mm. Acer BlueLightShield technology allows the user to adjust the emission of blue lights to ensure the best visual comfort.

Skype for Business certified with 720p HD webcam, TravelMate X514-51 supports Acer Purified Voice technology and integrates two speakers and two wide-range microphones designed to attenuate ambient and keyboard noise. The backlit keyboard allows typing even when the ambient lights are not optimal. The precision touch is protected by a Corning Gorilla Glass NBT surface that allows fast scrolling, pinch-to-zoom, and two-finger gestures.
Acer TravelMate X514-51 is equipped with 802.11ac Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity, USB Type-C, 2 x USB Type-A, and HDMI ports. It also has a 2 × speakers and one TRRS 3.5-mm jack for a headset. The laptop is rated to work for up to 10 hours on one charge. You can also unlock it with Windows Hello via a fingerprint reader integrated into the power button.
The notebook is available in the US for $1,099 in the basic configuration with Intel Core i5-8265U, 8GB of RAM and 256GB of SSD.
