As expected, Xiaomi on Monday announced much-rumored Redmi Note 5A smartphone in China. The handset comes in three variants, Xiaomi Redmi Note 5A price in China is set at CNY 699 – approximately $104 for 2GB of RAM with 16GB storage and CNY 899 – approximately $134 for 3GB RAM with 32GB storage and high-end variant comes in 4GB RAM + 64GB storage has been priced at CNY 1199 – approximately $180.
This dual SIM handset runs on the Android 7.0 Nougat based MIUI 9 out of the box. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 5A features a 16-megapixel front selfie shooter with autofocus with f/2.0 aperture, 76.4-degree wide-angle lens, and 36 built-in beauty modes, while the standard 2GB RAM + 16GB ROM variant comes with the 5-megapixel front facing camera.
However, all three variant features a 13-megapixel rear autofocus camera with f/2.2 aperture and LED flash. The device also bears a rear fingerprint sensor to unlock the device quickly. It comes with a 5.5-inch HD (1280 x 720 pixels) display and the front is covered by Corning Gorilla Glass.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 5A is powered by 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 Octa-core processor coupled with 2GB/3GB/4GB of RAM and 16GB/32/64GB storage with microSD card slot (up to 128GB). It packs in a 3080mAh battery which claimed to provide standby time up to 10-11 days. For connectivity, the Redmi Note 5A includes 4G VoLTE, 3G, Wi-Fi, GPS, A-GPS, GLONASS, Bluetooth 4.2, MicroUSB 2.0 port, and 3.5mm audio jack.
